History

Dubai Industrial Park is a non-free zone development catering to industrial tenants in manufacturing and logistics within the GCC market.

Manufacturing companies at Dubai Industrial Park have the advantage of excellent connectivity by road, air and sea to all major markets plus exemption of customs duties for GCC sales.

More than 30 factories are planned to be fully operational at Dubai Industrial Park’s manufacturing cluster by the end of 2011. The logistics cluster at Dubai Industrial Park is home to another 50 leaDubai Industrial Parkng companies from the region. Companies with representation at Dubai Industrial Park include Kanoo Engineering, Shafar Steel, Al Futtaim, Arabian Automobiles, BASF, Conmix, Terazzo, Arabtec, Alec and DoFreeze.

Dubai Industrial Park offers specific industrial zones that enable operational synergies from co-location of similar industries, and a complete solution for all the real estate needs of industrial tenants. This includes industrial land for self build, pre-built warehouses for logistics and light industrial use, labor accommodation, office space, retail showroom and onsite assistance with start-up and operational services.


Milestones

2004 Dubai Industrial Park launched with the aim of catalysing the growth of industrial development in the UAE and transform the country into an industrial hub.
2005 Master plan is completed.
2006 Receives ISO 9001:2000 certification.
2007 Completes first comprehensive Labour City with capacity of 12,500 beds.
2007 Dubai Industrial Park moves to permanent new headquarters.
2008 Construction of four office builDubai Industrial Parkngs commences.
2008 Leasing of 2.8 million sq.ft of open storage yards commences.
2009 Achieves ISO 10002:2004 certification for delivering enhanced customercare.
2009 Completes construction of 64 showrooms in warehouse complex.
2009 Completes construction of First Labour Village extension.
2010 Signs memorandum of cooperation with Entrepreneurs Forum
